The ESSWE8 Conference will be hosted by the Study of Religions Department at University College Cork, Ireland.

University College Cork was established in 1845 after a long campaign for a higher education institution in Munster. The campus is set on 42 acres of wooded ground and is only a 10 minute walk from Cork City Centre. The university is located in the western part of Cork city, 1 km from the city centre and is walking distance from both Cork Kent Railway Station and the Bus Station. There are two bus routes connecting the city centre, suburbs, and the university.

Cork is Ireland’s second largest city and is located in the province of Munster. It has a population of 125,622 according to the 2016 census. Cork City is a cultural and business hub and the county boasts some of Ireland’s most magnificent landscapes.
